Kentish and Co. team catch up in London

The Kentish and Co. team met up in Westminster to welcome some new faces and have a catch up on our various projects. We also had a great brainstorm, discussing experiences and ideas we’d had so far this year, and sharing our insights with each other.

The Passage meeting venue

We met at The Passage, which runs London’s largest voluntary sector resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people – each day they help up to 200 men and women.

Our meeting room was in their Cathedral View venue, which includes a bright and modern space with all the technical kit (wi-fi, screens etc) we needed. It’s just 3 minutes from Victoria train station. Booking a room there really does make a difference to supporting homeless people.

Street Wisdom

After lunch, we went on a Street Wisdom Walk. This is a social enterprise with a mission to bring inspiration to every street on earth. It’s a 3-hour experience that gives people the skills to see the urban environment in a new way, ask a question and use the answers they discover to unlock fresh thinking and make choices. It’s ‘walking-based problem solving’ – a mix of psychology, mindfulness and cognitive science.

It was a fascinating experience, helped by walking around the amazing Westminster Cathedral and surrounding streets.

The events are run by volunteers all over the world. At Kentish and Co. we’ve started using them with clients, who really enjoy doing something new, to encourage them to look at their world in a new light.

We look forward to catching up with the whole team in December.
